Document: createTextNode() method

Creates a new {{domxref("Text")}} node. This method can be used to escape HTML characters.

Syntax

createTextNode(data)

Parameters

• data
  • : A string containing the data to be put in the text node.

Return value

A {{domxref("Text")}} node.
