# Classes and Objects

## Introduction

PHP includes a complete object model. Some of its features are: [visibility](#language.oop5.visibility), [abstract](#language.oop5.abstract) and [final](#language.oop5.final) classes and methods, additional [magic methods](#language.oop5.magic), [interfaces](#language.oop5.interfaces), and [cloning](#language.oop5.cloning).

PHP treats objects in the same way as references or handles, meaning that each variable contains an object reference rather than a copy of the entire object. See [Objects and References](#language.oop5.references)
